Tonight October 8, 2014, a total lunar eclipse occurred and was visible in the Philippines according to PAGASA.

According to the scientist, this happens when the moon, sun and earth are aligned or very close to each other.

The total eclipse started at 4:14 PM (Philippine Standard Time) and it will end at 9:35 in the evening.

Here in the Philippines, many people want to see this unusual event however, due to heavy rains brought by Super Typhoon Ompong, this might not happen.

On the other hand, netizens posted their reactions on social media about this.

According to VMiguel Gonzales , “didn’t got the chance to see the blood moon”.

Dana also says, “A blood moon in the month of October is the coolest thing to me”.

Kat De Castro says, “In ancient times, it was believed that those who practice witchcraft become more powerful when there’s a blood moon”.
