While Samsung went to work on the release of the August 2018 security patches on its high-end smartphones, Sony returned to give a glance to its mid-range devices by developing a new version of the firmware dedicated to them. In particular, the smartphones we are talking about are Sony Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra , two devices presented at the beginning of this 2018 that are now ready to receive a new update.
As stated by the website XperiaBlog.net , in fact, these two smartphones would have started to receive the new version of the firmware with numbering 50.1.A.10.51 (against the previous 50.1.A.10.40). This new build does not bring relevant news if not the introduction of security patches released by Google on July 1, 2018 .
For the moment, it would seem that this update does not lead to the resolution of known problems on devices (such as those related to Bluetooth connectivity reported by different users), but we still expect that it brings small optimizations for everyday use.
We remind you that Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra are two smartphones equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC accompanied respectively by 3 GB and 4 GB of RAM. Their 5.5-inch and 6-inch Full HD displays featuring “Image Enhance Technology” offer a great viewing experience, especially when looking at their shots from the 23 megapixel f / 2.0 main camera. In addition, on the Ultra model there is a dual front camera characterized by a primary 16 megapixel sensor and secondary 8 MP.
To update, go to your settings, then OS, then update.
