Why was I not surprised at all? This news agency maligned the image of students to create news. It’s disgusting – i_am_red_bahasa
It’s even clear in the vid that the students said sample – PauQuilos
These are just some of the negative comments netizens posted on social media as the hashtag #ABSCBNSaySorryToUPLB trended today.
UPLB student council posted an open letter to ABS-CBN to apologize to the student body for false reporting.
In a social media post by the news organization, the students were mistakenly described as shouting “tra-po”, colloquial term for corrupt and incompetent politicians, at Vice President Jejomar Binay who was present in a forum.
A video is posted proving that the reporting is false and that the students were merely chanting “sample”.
Below are the images of the open letter.
ABS-CBN news has yet to respond to the social media call.
